1. About Prepado

Prepado Solutions Private Limited is a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at 42 Dhawalgiri Yashodham, L'Out Goregaon East, Goregaon East, Mumbai - 400063, Maharashtra, India.

Prepado operates a simulation-based hiring platform that replaces traditional CV screening with role simulations, cognitive assessments, and psychometric evaluations. The Platform serves three distinct user groups:

• Freshers — new graduates and early-career candidates seeking employment opportunities through simulations.
• Screeners — experienced professionals who evaluate and score simulation submissions on the Platform.
• Companies — organisations that use Prepado to discover, assess, and recruit talent.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Full name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth.
• Educational qualifications, institutions attended, degrees obtained, and graduation year.
• City, state, and country of residence.
• Resume or curriculum vitae (optional upload).
• Profile photograph (optional).
• Responses submitted during role simulations, including task outputs, written submissions, and decisions made within simulation scenarios.
• Psychometric and cognitive assessment responses.
• Communication preferences and notification settings.
• Any additional information voluntarily submitted through forms, feedback submissions, or support queries.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system, browser type and version.
• IP address and approximate geographic location.
• Behavioural analytics during simulations: time spent on tasks, click patterns, navigation behaviour, and response timings.
• Log data: pages visited, features accessed, error logs, and session duration.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (refer to Section 10).

2.3 Anti-Cheat and Integrity Monitoring Data

To maintain the validity and integrity of assessments, Prepado may collect the following, strictly with your prior consent:

• Webcam footage or screenshots during proctored simulations.
• Eye-tracking data and focus-detection signals.
• Behavioural analytics to detect anomalies, including tab-switching and indicators of external assistance.
• Identity verification confidence scores.

This data is collected exclusively during assessment sessions and used solely for the purpose of evaluation integrity. It is not used for any other purpose.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing your account on the Platform.
• Delivering role simulations, assessments, and all associated content.
• Generating your Prepado Score — a verified performance score valid for 12 months from the date of assessment completion.
• Providing Screeners with the information necessary to evaluate simulation submissions.
• Sending notifications about simulation results, job opportunities, and platform updates.
• Improving our simulation content, assessments, and platform features through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
• Verifying your identity and preventing fraudulent or unauthorised activity.
• Fulfilling our legal and regulatory obligations under applicable Indian law.

4. Data Usage for Recruitment — Consent-Based Sharing

IMPORTANT: Your personal data is shared with recruiting companies ONLY when you explicitly consent by submitting an application to a specific role. Your data is never shared with any company without your direct, affirmative action. Default state = Private.

4.1 When Your Data IS Shared with a Company

• When you submit a job application through the Platform for a specific company's role listing by clicking “Apply” and confirming your application.
• When you explicitly activate the optional “Make Profile Discoverable” setting, which allows verified companies to view your Prepado Score and summarised profile. This feature is disabled by default.
• The data shared in such cases includes: your Prepado Score, simulation performance summary, relevant assessment results, and basic profile information (name and contact details).

4.2 When Your Data is NOT Shared

• If you have not submitted an application to a specific company's role, your data is not visible to or accessible by that company under any circumstances.
• If you have not activated the “Make Profile Discoverable” setting, your profile remains entirely private.
• If you revoke a previously granted permission, your data will not be shared with the relevant company going forward. Data already shared as part of a submitted application may be retained by the company in accordance with their own data policies, which are outside Prepado's control.
• Raw simulation responses, anti-cheat recordings, proctoring data, and detailed behavioural logs are never shared with companies under any circumstances.

4.3 Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw your consent for data sharing at any time through your account settings. Withdrawal applies prospectively and does not affect data already shared prior to the withdrawal. To request deletion of previously shared data held by Prepado, please contact us at team@prepado.in.

5. Data Retention

• Prepado Scores and simulation results are retained for 12 months from the date of assessment completion, after which they expire. Users must retake the relevant assessment to generate a new valid score.
• Account profile data is retained for the duration of your account's active status and for a period of 30 days following account deletion, after which it is permanently deleted.
• Anti-cheat and proctoring data is retained for a maximum of 90 days following the relevant assessment, unless a longer retention period is required for an ongoing integrity investigation.
• Data submitted as part of a job application is retained for a reasonable period as required under applicable Indian employment and labour laws.
• You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (refer to Section 9).

6. Sharing with Third Parties

Prepado Solutions Private Limited does not sell your personal information to any third party. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Companies: solely as described in Section 4, and only upon your explicit consent and application action.
• With Screeners: simulation outputs may be shared with Screeners for evaluation purposes. Personally identifiable information is masked from Screeners by default to support blind, unbiased evaluation. Screeners are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.
• With Service Providers: trusted third-party technology vendors who assist us in operating the Platform, including cloud hosting, voice AI, speech recognition, and email delivery services. These vendors are contractually bound to process data only on our behalf and in strict accordance with this Policy.
• For Legal Compliance: where required by applicable Indian law, court order, or directive from a government or regulatory authority.
• In Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to equivalent privacy and data protection obligations.

7. Data Security

Prepado implements industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encryption of all data in transit using TLS and encryption of data at rest.
• Role-based access controls to limit internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Secure cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services, Asia Pacific Mumbai region (ap-south-1).

While we take all reasonable and appropriate steps to secure your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely infallible. In the event of a data breach that materially affects your rights or interests, we will notify you in accordance with applicable Indian law.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights in respect of your personal data:

• Right of Access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right of Correction: to request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated data.
• Right of Deletion (Erasure): to request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Right of Data Portability: to request a transfer of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: to withdraw consent for data sharing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
• Right to Grievance Redressal: to raise a complaint or concern with our team via team@prepado.in.

We will respond to all valid requests within 30 days of receipt. We may request verification of identity before processing certain requests.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your Prepado account at any time via your account settings or by writing to team@prepado.in. Upon account deletion:

• Your profile will be immediately deactivated and removed from any company-facing discovery.
• Your personal data will be permanently deleted from Prepado's systems within 30 days, except where we are legally obligated to retain it for a longer period.
• Data already shared with companies as part of submitted job applications cannot be recalled by Prepado, as it is then subject to the company's own data retention policies.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Prepado uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Platform to:

• Maintain your login session and user preferences.
• Analyse usage patterns to improve Platform performance and user experience.
• Support anti-cheat and integrity monitoring during active simulation sessions.

You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

11. Children's Privacy

The Prepado Platform is intended exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe that a minor has registered on the Platform, please contact us immediately at team@prepado.in and we will take prompt action to delete the relevant account and data.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Any disputes arising out of this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our operations. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document and notify registered users via email or in-platform notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
