Data Usage Policy
Effective Date: 11th June 2026 | Version 1.0
This Data Usage Policy is an addendum to the Prepado Privacy Policy and forms part of the legal documentation governing the use of the Prepado Platform, operated by Prepado Solutions Private Limited. It sets out, with precision, the circumstances under which personal data is used within the Platform and, critically, the conditions that must be met before any data is shared with a third party.
1. Foundational Principle: You Control Your Data
Your data belongs to you. Prepado will never share your personal data with any company unless you initiate an application or explicitly grant permission to do so. Your profile is private by default. Sharing requires your conscious, informed action.
2. Data Flow by User Action — Three Scenarios
Scenario A: Fresher Has Not Applied to Any Role
- Your profile data is stored securely and is visible only to you.
- Your simulation results and Prepado Score are stored securely and are visible only to you.
- No company can view, search for, access, or receive any of your data. Zero company visibility.
- Screeners may access anonymised simulation outputs solely for evaluation during the active assessment period. Personally identifiable information is masked.
Scenario B: Fresher Has Applied to a Specific Role
- Upon clicking “Apply” and confirming the application, a defined data package is shared with that specific company only.
- Data shared: Prepado Score, simulation performance summary, role-relevant assessment results, and basic profile information (name and contact details).
- Data not shared under any circumstances: raw simulation responses, anti-cheat or proctoring recordings, detailed behavioural logs, full psychometric raw data, and any data relating to applications made to other companies.
- The company receives access only to the data package relevant to that specific application. No other data is accessible.
Scenario C: Fresher Has Enabled Profile Discovery (Opt-In Only)
- If a Fresher voluntarily activates the “Make Profile Discoverable” setting, their Prepado Score and a summarised professional profile become searchable by verified companies on the Platform.
- This feature is entirely opt-in and is disabled by default for all users.
- The Fresher may disable this setting at any time through their account settings, immediately reverting to fully private status.
3. Internal Data Uses by Prepado
The following uses of data are entirely internal to Prepado Solutions Private Limited and do not involve sharing with any company or external third party:
- Generating and validating Prepado Scores from simulation performance and assessment responses.
- Running anti-cheat and integrity monitoring systems during active assessment sessions.
- Improving simulation quality, assessment calibration, and Platform features using aggregated and fully anonymised analytics. Individual user data is never used for this purpose in identifiable form.
- Sending relevant Platform communications to users, including assessment results, new role alerts, and operational updates.
- Managing Screener quality assurance and processing Screener payments based on evaluation performance.
4. Data Prepado Does Not Use
- Prepado Solutions Private Limited does not sell, rent, or commercially license your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, marketing platforms, or any other commercial third parties.
- Prepado does not use your psychometric raw data or simulation outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve any external artificial intelligence model without your explicit and separately obtained consent.
- Prepado does not use personal data to make fully automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, without a human review process.
5. Data Shared with Screeners
Screeners are provided with simulation outputs for the sole purpose of evaluation. The following safeguards apply at all times:
- Screeners are shown only the simulation responses that are relevant to their specific assigned evaluation tasks.
- Personally identifiable information — including name, contact details, and profile photograph — is masked from Screeners by default, ensuring blind and unbiased evaluation.
- Screeners are contractually prohibited from retaining, reproducing, sharing, or using any Fresher data or simulation content outside of their designated evaluation role.
6. Third-Party Technology Infrastructure
Prepado Solutions Private Limited uses the following third-party technology providers to deliver the Platform. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and is not authorised to use your data for any independent purpose:
- Cloud Hosting: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Asia Pacific Mumbai Region (ap-south-1) — for secure data storage and Platform infrastructure.
- Voice AI: ElevenLabs — for delivering simulation dialogues and voice-based interactions.
- Speech Recognition: Deepgram — for processing voice responses submitted during simulations.
- AI Assessment: Anthropic Claude — for intelligent evaluation and assessment features within the Platform.
7. Audit and Accountability
- Prepado maintains an internal log of all data sharing events, recording which Fresher data was shared with which company, and the date and basis of such sharing.
- Freshers may request a summary of their personal data sharing history at any time by contacting team@prepado.in.
- Prepado conducts periodic internal audits of data access and sharing practices to ensure ongoing compliance with this Policy and applicable Indian law.
8. Applicable Law
This Data Usage Policy is to be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions of Prepado Solutions Private Limited and is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Any disputes arising in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
9. Updates to This Policy
This Data Usage Policy may be updated from time to time. Users will be notified of any material changes via email and in-platform notice. Continued use of the Platform following such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
